Bot explorers Afterschool Program

Have fun coding with your favorite robots! Bot Explorers is an instructional program to teach kids computational concepts with Dash & Dot, Ozobots, and other materials. Kids will apply the concepts they learn to complete various missions and challenges with the robots. Program runs from September to the end of January, or February to the end of June, and children should commit to attending as many classes as possible.

Concepts covered: programs, loops, conditionals, debugging, event detection, sensors, robot autonomy, functions, variables, binary code, sorting algorithms.

Skills acquired: creativity, problem-solving, team building, abstract thinking

Bot lab Afterschool Program

Bot Lab is a self-guided coding program for kids with activity stations featuring Dash & Dot, Ozobots, Coding Wand, and other coding platforms. Each week children can explore each or several activity stations at their own pace. There are 7 activity stations available: Blockly Challenge Cards, Dot Creative Package, Ozocode Station, Ozoblockly Station, Sketch Kit Station, Wonder League Robotics Competition, and Coding Wand. For a better experience, children should have prior experience and knowledge of coding.
